It is a mineral based green product. It is also homogenous, no delamination. MagnumŽ Board is virtually impervious to fire, water, insects; does not feed mold or mildew; is non toxic, non flammable and non combustible.

- What is the difference between MagnumŽ Board and Gypsum Drywall?
- MagnumŽ Board is purely a mineral product made from magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride as a binder with fillers including wood flour, perlite and fiber reinforcement. Absolutely no chemicals used in its formula whatsoever.
- MagnumŽ Board is homogenous, not poured in layers, so delamination does not occur.
- The manufacturing process is eco friendly. MagnumŽ Board is a naturally dried and cured process, eliminating the power intensive drying process needed for gypsum products.
- MagnumŽ Board has no paper.
- Interior MagnumŽ Board is slightly heavier that gypsum wall board and lighter than cement board products.
- Interior MagnumŽ Board installs similarily to gypsum products. You can use a roto zip type unit to trim and cut out for receptacles, etc.
- One side of interior MagnumŽ Board , MagnumŽ Board Backer and MagnumŽ Board Underlayment is smooth, thereby making it almost effortless to achieve a level 5 drywall finish. No skim coat is required.
- Interior and exterior MagnumŽ Board can be finished with paint, Sto, Drivit, Master Wall, Surecrete, Carpenter Stone--all types of Portland type stuccos, non-cementous stuccos and other products. It has a very high degree of adhesive ability.
- Same product for interior and exterior make material planning and marshalling at the job site easier.
- Recyclable.
- The same ingredients found in MagnumŽ Board are also used to make vitamins and minerals that we take every day.
